Yummy Mac and Cheese for a rainy Saturday afternoon:

  • 1 Package of your favorite small noodle (elbow macaroni, shells, bow-ties, wheels, etc.)
  • 2.5 to 3 inches “Processed American Cheese Food” (a.k.a. Velveeta or store-brand alternative)
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 tbsp parsley (optional)

Prepare the noodles as per the directions on their package. While noodles are being prepared, cut up the Cheese Food into smaller chunks, put them into a microwave-safe container with the milk and parsley. Nuke for about 5 minutes on 70% power. Drain the noodles, then combine the noodles and melted cheese mixture. Mix well. Enjoy.

Some ideas of how to change things up to make your mac and cheese more interesting:

  • Try adding a drained can of “herb” tomatoes. Yummy.
  • Add a can of condensed tomato soup for tomato-cheesy goodness.
  • Add a pound of sweet sausage or ground chuck.
  • Garnish with a few squirts of Sriracha sauce. Spicy yummy.
